What is S2IX?
S2IX is designed for military and Defence environments, facilitating interoperable communication across different platforms and nations. It ensures the efficient and secure sharing of data, crucial for coordinated military operations and decision-making.
C4ISR Support and Interoperability Platform
Specialising in inter-operability across security domains and into the field, S2IX is a commercial off the shelf (COTS) product that fully supports national and multinational missions and operations, resulting in an integrated platform that operates seamlessly.
S2IX was developed to solve the complexity of tactical edge environments and meet the challenges caused by the rapid transformation of warfare to effortlessly enable near real-time synchronicity of information, render the distillation of complex data into versatile insights for adaptive decision-making while embedding governance, security and standards into the platform, all with zero development time.
Secure Information Exchange
The S2IX platform addresses the unique challenges of securing and sharing information across a variety of military, government and enterprise activities where challenging networks and geographic locations are commonplace. Secure by design and embracing zero-trust concepts, S2IX utilises a unique approach to managing a variety of security constructs and frameworks across security domains and organisational boundaries, allowing for leveraging of multi-level security domains regardless of the area of operations and enabling governance and information controls in the most challenging environments and situations in the world.
Integrated Data Management
The S2IX Platform supports integrated data management through the ingestion, standardisation and distribution of data across a federated network of environments. A wide variety of data and ISR feeds can be aggregated, fused and disseminated across the battlespace to enable decision superiority and insight generation. Utilising targeted automation, artificial intelligence, and machine learning reduces the cognitive load on users and allows them to focus on the task at hand. By design IDM allows us to deliver enhanced decision support in multiple areas of operation regardless of bearer networks.
Federated Mission Networking and Mission Partner Environments
Federated Mission Networking (FMN) is an initiative undertaken by NATO member countries and allies to increase the interoperability of systems and 35 nations have been classified as FMN Affiliates. As a key stakeholder of NATO, the United States of America desires to be an FMN affiliate and is currently undertaking an implementation program known as the Mission Partnering Environment.
While the scope of these programs is broader than just technical implementation of information systems, S2IX supports the key requirements of the FMN standards defined by NATO and strives to fully support the FMN goal of Plug and Play “Day Zero” Interoperability.
S2IX provides direct alignment and standards based interoperability between FMN and the five eyes (FVEY) mission partnering environments (MPE).
